Tauriel: l'angelo protettore di Torino

Ancora prima del sorgere di una capanna, Tauriel proteggeva Torino e custodiva il nodo di energia che sorgeva dalla terra nel punto dove i due grandi fiumi, Po e Dora, si incrociavano.

Ci fu un periodo in cui Tauriel prese corpo grazie a Costanzo Antonelli svettando nel punto più alto di Torino sulla Mole Antonelliana.

Purtroppo l’Antonelli non vide mai il suo lavoro portato a termine poiché mori nel 1888 e l’Angelo fu issato nel 1889.

L’angelo, che Antonelli chiamò il “genio alato”, di rame dorato era alto quattro metri e pesava sei tonnellate. Nelle mani portava il giavellotto, l’arma che permettere al messaggio divino di penetrare il cuore e la mente dell’uomo e la palma simbolo di vittoria. I piedi posavano su un piedistallo ornato con lo stemma torinese con il toro rampante, ed era ornato da cornucopie straboccanti di fiori e frutti, simbolo di abbondanza e prosperità.

Nell’agosto del 1904, durante un terribile uragano, l’angelo probabilmente colpito da un fulmine, cadde a testa in giù rimanendo miracolosamente sospeso per un piede e i danni fortunatamente furono circoscritti.

La guglia della Mole Antonelliana venne rifatta. Si decise di eliminare l’angelo e al suo posto fu issata una stella a cinque punte di quattro metri di diametro creata da Ernesto Ghiotti.

La Mole per i cultori di esoterismo ha i suoi lati oscuri come la base piramidale e una guglia altissima che come una sorta di antenna catalizza l’energia che capta dal Cielo e aspira dalla Terra.

Ed anche intorno all’angelo si snodano credenze di prodigi, come la sua caduta, dato che dopo la folgorazione la statua rimase in bilico sul terrazzo sottostante senza cadere al suolo e senza provocare alcuna vittima.

Tauriel è rimasto esposto per un breve periodo nell’atrio della Mole, attualmente si trova nel Museo del Cinema
