La manifestazione del dio-sole al mattino

Khepri

E’ il nome che indica l’aspetto mattiniero del sole che viene ad esistere.

Era raffigurato solitamente come uno scarabeo o a volte in forma umana con uno scarabeo al posto della testa.

Possiamo vedere la forma umanizzata di Khepri nella tomba di Ramses I e nella tomba di Nefertari.

Nel suo aspetto di coleottero veniva impiegato negli anelli sigillo.

Ornava pettorali e bracciali, mentre “lo scarabeo del cuore, così chiamato perché posto sulla mummia in corrispondenza del cuore, era un amuleto di argilla smaltata o di pietra verde.

Per gli egizi Khepri era il simbolo di rinascita e indicava tutte le trasformazioni dell’uomo nei suoi passaggi vita-morte-rinascita, in quanto essi avevano accostato al disco solare la pallottola di sterco che il coleottero faceva rotolare in pieno giorno sulla sabbia.
