Dervisci

Nella musica l’estasi religiosa.

Il rituale dei dervisci prevede una danza rotatoria, dove la mano sinistra è abbassata verso la terra, mentre la destra è girata verso il cielo, il danzatore è il medium tra la terra e il cielo.

Ci sono due concetti fondamentali nella cultura dei dervisci:

il raggiungimento dell’estasi attraverso la musica e il ruolo potentissimo che ha la danza nell’ottenimento di questo stato. Il canto cerimoniale è basato in maggioranza su poemi tratti dal Marnavi o da altri scritti di Rûmi.

Raggiunto questo stato la musica e i canti si fermano, ma i dervisci nel loro stato di estasi continuano a roteare nel silenzio. Solo la voce di un flauto solitaria, lentamente li riporterà alla realtà.

Dervisci

Secondo i dervisci, questa danza è l’unico modo per allontanare la mente da ogni contatto con le cose terrene e dar modo alle loro anime di allontanarsi dai corpi e riunire a Dio.

In Turchia la tradizione dei Dervisci rappresenta un alto sviluppo della particolare arte di comunicare con il divino attraverso la danza.

L’educazione di un derviscio è particolarmente dura e consiste in mille e un giorno di penitenza, prevede il digiuno e la meditazione. Per apprendere la danza, i Dervisci bloccano due dita del piede al pavimento. In questo modo essi imparano a mantenere regolare e disciplinata la loro rotazione.

Mentre rotea appoggia il suo peso sul piede sinistro e quando la rotazione acquista velocità, sulle dita del piede sinistro, mentre la gamba destra dà slancio alla rotazione sinistra.

Un grande poeta mistico del 13 sec., Celatettin Rûmi scriveva:

“Molte strade portano a Dio.
Io ho scelto quella della danza e della musica”.
