Percorrendo Via Lascaris ai più attenti non sfuggiranno i curiosi occhi dal taglio quasi maligno che si aprono ai piedi di un palazzo antica sede di una Loggia Massonica.
In realtà altro non sono che prese d’aria e di luce per i locali sotterranei, dove si tenevano segrete riunioni.
Certo è, che nelle fredde sere torinesi , quello strano sguardo vuoto fa rabbrividire. E’ come se ci si sentisse osservati da forze occulte e misteriose che con il loro potere quasi sbarrano il cammino.
La stessa sensazione si prova osservando Palazzo Lascaris, la cui facciata è disseminata da volti grotteschi ( i famosi mascheroni).
Tra i mascheroni spiccano le raffigurazioni di Hermes (legato alle scienze ermetiche) e quelle dei “Green Men”, volti circondati da fogliame e vegetali che fuoriescono dalla bocca e da altri orifizi del viso, a cui è legata una complessa simbologia.
