Le donne portavano inoltre numerosi braccialetti ai polsi,sulle braccia e alle caviglie.
Un segno di distinzione era l’anello a sigillo, il cui ampio castone recava inciso il nome del proprietario oppure formule bene auguranti.
Come le pitture tombali, anche i gioielli rispondevano ad un gusto naturalistico: decorazioni floreali, figure di animali reali e fantastici, decoravano ornamenti personali e amuleti.
Dalla XIX alla XXI dinastia, il gusto divenne meno raffinato e i gioielli apparvero più “pesanti” con applicazioni di vetro e faience ovunque, incastonature e placcature.
Comparvero, inoltre, gli orecchini, seguiti poi dagli anelli. Esistevano numerose tecniche di decorazione,di filigrana, d’incastonatura, di colorazione e trattamento dei metalli; lo studio di queste tecniche ha influenzato molto quelle della gioielleria moderna.
Questo esemplare di gioielleria egizia proviene dalla tomba del faraone Tutankhamon della XVIII dinastia, che regnò sull’Egitto nel XIV secolo a.C. Il monile è in oro con decorazioni in smalto policromo e pietre dure e rappresenta un avvoltoio.
